Our Approach
In Year One we achieved what we set out to achieve. In Year Two we have ambitious plans. We know our funding is finite and we must operate within our means.
We need to Expand and Have All Required Resources, Tools and Facilities to Accommodate 100 Children. These Includes but not limited to Male and Female Dormitories, Infants Special Care Room, Health Centre within the premises, Classrooms for Early Childhood Education, Chapel that can accommodate 50 people, Storage Room, Play Grounds, Gardens/Poultry Farm/Fish Ponds for Feeding the Centre as well as Life Skills for our Children, Day Care Centre for outside children as source of Income, Vehicle, ERP System, Skilled Staff, etc.
Our approach is based on developing and streamlining our operating procedures and processes as part of our drive for a continuous improvement culture focusing on the following key domains.
Phase Two (Through December 2021):
Jerusalem Children’s Home believes that it is important to build a strong foundation, rooted in sound business principles so that it can function well and provide the best support possible for the children it will serve. Therefore, this interim period before 100 children are accepted into the Centre is critical. In order to balance a strong foundation with the overwhelming need of children in the area, purchasing the 4508sqm plot and working on the required infrastructure such as levelling, fencing and working on the access road are a first priority.
Phase Three (Through December 2023):
Transitioning into this stage includes the construction of the Infant Centre, Health Centre and Hostel for our Children.
Phase Four (Through December 2024):
The Centre shall be equipped with all basic equipment and materials required for children dayto-day activities including Transportation, Learning Materials, Health Centre Facilities, Furnitures, Electric and Water Facilities, Security Systems, etc.. This stage includes Staffing and Marketing of Products and Sustainability Activities/Services offered by Jerusalem Children’s Home . If these stages will be successful accomplished on time, then the Official Launching of Jerusalem Children’s Home capable of accommodating 100 Children will be on January 2024.
